Bo Ella River

The Famous Bo Ella River is flowing from a corner of this 9 Acre Resort. It is suitable for even children to have a swim in this Natural Swimming Pool. Also, Guests can have a small drink or a BBQ at the River side as the land is owned by the Resort. No Households and Vehicles around will make the environment Calm, Quiet and Unique with the sound of the flowing water and Birds.
This is said to be a waterfall supplied by the Ma Oya. The Ma Oya starting at Asupini Ella is supposed to be the only river in Sri Lanka that does not connect to any other river flowing directly to the sea in Negombo. According to folklore, it is said that if one were to tie a stone on to a string and lower it into the water, it will never hit the bottom. Story’s also claim that there is a hidden underwater cave behind the waterfall which can be used to hide in. At the bottom of the fall, there is a section which has become like a little reservoir owing to the tiny gap between which the water has to flow out to go downstream.

Pinnawala Elephant Ophanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is 20 Mins away from the Resort and is a Major Attraction for the Whole World. It is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. In 2011, there were 88 elephants, including 39 males and 49 females from 3 generations, living in Pinnawala.
The orphanage was founded to care and protect the many orphaned unweaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC).[2]

Pinnawala open Zoo

Pinnawala Open Zoo (also called Pinnawala Zoo) is just 20 Mins away from the Resort and it is a zoological garden in Pinnawala, Sri Lanka, which is situated closer to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The zoo was opened for public on 17 April 2015. This is the first open-air zoo in Sri Lanka and second zoo in Sri Lanka after Dehiwala zoo. The zoo was opened for the visitors free of charge from 17 – 30 of April 2015.

Royal botanical Garden – Peradeniya

Just 35 Mins from the Resort, Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually.[1] It is near the Mahaweli River (the longest in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. It is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture.

Saradiyel Rock

Home of Soora Saradiyal (The Black Robinhood of Sri Lanka) is situated just 20 Mins from the Resort.
Deekirikevage Saradiel widely famous as Utuwankande Sura Saradiel,translation:Saradiel the Hero of Mountain Utuwan (25 March 1832 – 7 May 1864) is a Ceylonese gang leader and bandit who became a legendary figure in Sri Lanka known as the "Robin Hood of Sri Lanka". Some Sri Lankan scholars place him in the context of regional insurgencies of against British Colonial rule rather than a manifestation of local lawlessness or economic justice. He was believed to have the power of not been seen and that he was bullet proof. Many believe that this is because he had "yantra" on his arm which gave him these powers.

World Heritage City – Kandy

The Temple of The Tooth

Just 45 Mins from the Resort, Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.
